The China-US Energy Efficiency Alliance is a nonprofit organization combating global climate change by promoting energy efficiency as the cleanest and least expensive energy resource in China. Through our powerful network, the Alliance pools financial and technical resources to help China design and implement large-scale energy efficiency incentive programs.

The work of the Alliance is funded by contributions from utilities, companies, and individuals who recognize the importance of energy efficiency as an effective strategy to address global warming and reduce pollution. The Alliance is able to maximize results by leveraging our broad technical and financial network, while keeping administrative costs to a minimum. READ MORE

Global Climate Change
China and the U.S. are the world’s two largest emitters of global warming pollution. Together, they account for more than 40 percent of global carbon dioxide emissions from fossil fuel use, more than 35 percent of the world’s energy consumption, and more than 30 percent of the world’s economic output, making their involvement to address the global warming crisis critical. The Alliance is working directly with China to use energy efficiency as a key strategy to curb these emissions while allowing for sustainable development. A new comprehensive report by the McKinsey Global Institute identified Chinese energy efficiency as the top global opportunity to curb energy growth in economically attractive ways and, in the process, cut CO2 emissions.
